Advice
For a healthy aquarium
Food should be consumed in about 1 minute, feed the animals, not your aquarium |
Invertebrates should be opened and tentacles extended before feeding |
Fish should have clear eyes, rounded stomach, and alert to their surroundings. |
Feed a balanced diet, not all fish prefer the same foods - alternate at each feedings. |
Don't use house hold cleaners to clean Plexiglass - only use aquarium products. Chemicals can seep into the Plexiglass and cause toxic wipe out. |
Pumps aerate the water and assists the
gasses to exchange at the surface area and prevents cold spots and helps
bring food to invertebrates |
For water evaporation, mark the water level and add D.I. water or a reverse osmosis evaporation line. Salinity levels do vary from tank to tank, but should be from 1.020 to 1.022 |
Change in the ecosystem may occur by adding fish or overfeeding. Add fish at three to four week intervals. |
Always test your water before adding new tank mates. |
